Tittos Latin BBQ and Brew

There's lots to love at Tittos - it's a definite must try when in Kapitolyo!

Tittos
Spent the majority of the day dreaming about the food at Tittos. You see, my friends and I made plans to visit, but before even heading over, I already had an idea of what I wanted to order. This wasn't my first time at Tittos (it was actually the third), but on the first two occasions, I hung out at their *secret* bar - more on that later - so I wasn't really able to try much of their food.

So when I came back, I made sure to bring friends so we could order a number of dishes to try together. I'm lucky to have friends who enjoy food as much as I do. People who love food are seriously the best people to hang out with!

What we tried:

Beef Barbacoa Tacos (P135)
slow cooked beef belly, black tortilla, chimichurri, pico de gallo, pickled onion, slaw, tortilla crisps
Tittos
Tittos
Sisig Tacos (P125)
pork maskara, tortilla, onions, chilis, melted cheese, liver sauce, chicharones, quail egg
Tittos
Salted Egg Shrimp Tacos (P135)
crispy shrimp, salted egg sauce, tortilla, curry leaves, slaw
Tittos

Out of the three, my favorite is definitely the sisig. We did have varied opinions about their soft tacos though, some liked the barbacoa most, while some, the salted egg. P.S. They also have a vegetarian option called the Verduras, for those who aren't into meat.

Nacho el Gigante (P325)
tortilla chips, beef barbacoa, tomato salsa, jalapenos, shredded lettuce, trio of cheese, chimichurri, and Mexican crema
Tittos
As with all South American restaurants, you gotta have nachos, and this one, is high on my list! I love that it comes with generous servings of beef, cheese, lettuce.. pretty much the works! Value for money is what I call it.

Elote (P180)
char-grilled sweet corn, smoked paprika butter, tamarind spice, mayo lime, crumbled queso fresco
Tittos
Some might find it weird, but my ultimate favorite dish at Tittos is their Elote. I just can't help but rave about it to everybody. When my high school class had our mini reunion here, it was the Elote I kept telling everyone to order. And sure enough, they loved it too!
Tittos
For meat lovers, you have to try their Pollo Asado and their Gaucho Steak!

Pollo Asado (P340/half chicken)
roast chicken, side veggies, mango relish, chimichurri
Tittos
I'm not much into plain chicken, but serve it with chimichurri and I can probably finish the whole plate.

18 Hours Gaucho Steak (P480)
served with a choice of side dish; hanger steak, side veggies, crispy onions, chimichurri, gravy, beef bits
Tittos
It's really affordable steak, if you ask me. It's tender eighteen-hour hanger steak, what's not to like? It's a good serving to share, or to eat on your own if you're feeling reeeeaaally hungry. Haha
Tittos
Paella de Carne (P320 / P540)
grilled chicken inasal, chorizo, sofrito, green peas, French beans, eggs
Tittos
Also recommended, their Arroz Negra! It's their squid ink rice that comes with chorizo, squid rings, prawns, mussels, sofrito, tinapa, french beans, onion crisp, and garlic mojo.

Don't forget to order one (or two) of their specialty drinks. Below: Cucumber Elderflower, Tittos Iced Tea, Choco Banana, Horchata, and Tamarind Cole (prices range from Php90 - Php140)
Tittos
Don't leave without trying out their homemade desserts!

Frozen Brazo de Mercedes (P190)
buttered grahams, custard, meringue, vanilla ice cream, crushed oreo, whipping cream, blueberry, strawberry slices
Tittos
Ube Churros (P210)
ube churros, white chocolate frosting, caramel, chocolate drizzle
Tittos
Also, as I mentioned earlier, they do have a secret bar behind the restaurant. It's called RM16 and every entry require a password. I highly recommend you take your chances, because it's one heck of a bar.
