Gringo, SM Megamall

My favorite amigo is now open at SM Megamall!

Gringo opened its fourth shop at SM Megamall two months ago, and it's amazing how fast they're growing! It was just last April 2016 when they launched their first store at SM North Edsa, and now, they're on their fourth! How crazy is that?

Personally, I'm not surprised, I mean, they have amazing food here! I'm not particularly into ribs or chicken, but I really enjoy theirs.

Aside from the food, I really like their interiors too. It's very cozy and laid back, as you can see with their mismatched tables and different materials they use for their walls.

And what about these decors? Very vintage-y!

We started our meal with two of their street tacos! For some reason, I really enjoy tacos and burritos, and Gringo's version is no exception.

Spicy Tuna Street Taco (P125)

Both makes use of traditional Latin ingredients, but if I were to pick a favorite, I'll have to go with the Spicy Tuna. I'm currently on this crazy tuna phase, plus the fact that this is spicy makes me love it more.

For the chicken, we went with their Original Chicken, which has a lemony and herby flavor. Prices are as follows:

Quarter Chicken - P148 (no sides) | P225 (two sides)
Half Chicken - P285 (no sides | P365 (three sides)
Whole Chicken - P535 (no sides) | P648 (three sides)

They also have Southern Spice Chicken, which I've yet to try, but I bet it's delizioso too!

I highly recommend ordering their Mexican Rice, especially if you're planning to eat crab like we did!

My lola's crab will always be #1, but this one is pretty good too. It's flavorful and garlicky which we all enjoyed. However when it comes to ordering it, the size will depend on what they have available and at the time, I think the smallest one was 550g, so multiply that by 155 pesos, that's easily 852.50 pesos. It can get on the pricey side, but I think Gringo's menu is generally affordable naman.

Will see you again soon, amigo!
