Guisados: Build Your Own Taco

Passed by this place a couple of times before, so we decided to finally try it.

Chimichanga (P300)

Five Taco Sampler (P239)
beef barbacoa, chicken, pork carnitas, pork belly, and chorizo

The dishes we tried were good, but a bit on the pricey side. We really liked the Mexican Fries (mostly because it was different) and the Chimichangga. The sampler had five different types of meat served with soft corn tortilla. My favorite was the pork belly because it had the most flavor. I mixed a lot of green salsa verde in all of them so they turned out okay. I guess samplers are okay if you're really not sure on what to order, but I wouldn't order it again especially once I've found my favorite.

To add, I'm really not sure why they have the "build your own taco" tagline to their name, because that's not what happens here. To be honest, that's the whole reason why we ate here, so yeah. Do not be fooled! :P

Guisados is located at 1 Salinglahi Homes, Congressional Avenue Extention, Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

Hey, I'd love to hear from you! Leave a comment below and I'll get back to you soonest!

  1. That's one place I've never seen before even I frequent those areas around Mindanao and Congressional Avenue. Judging by the pictures and descriptions, I'll raise my hand for those Mexican Fries. I'm expecting a bit of spice from it and that's what I usually crave for. However, I find that strange as well that you guys didn't find any options to "build" your own taco as advertised. Anyhow, did they have any smoothies or shakes?

    1. I don't think they do. I remember seeing beer, but that's it. :P It's an okay place, and yeah, weird talaga yung Build Your Own Taco tagline. Meh.
