Dong Juan, Mother Ignacia Avenue

Dong Juan
Been hearing a lot of good things about this place, so Tim and I decided to try it together one night.

I'm so happy to have found a food buddy in Tim. We both enjoy driving around and looking for new places to eat at. The only downside is, we're both gaining weight! Haha! We really gotta squeeze in some gym time inour schedules. For now, here's what we ate that night at Dong Juan:
Dong Juan
Dong Juan Green Salad with Vinaigrette Dressing (P249)
made with honey, balsamic vinegar, and superior grade olive oil topped with fried coco milk crumble
Dong Juan
Tim wanted the salad with caesar dressing, but I told his this was the healthier choice (kunwari bagong buhay, I just really wanted the vinaigrette haha) The fried coco milk crumble - whatever that is - added interesting texture to the dish. The serving is generous, I just wish it had more dressing.

Gambas Al Ajillo Pasta (P259)
freshly harvested shrimps cooked just right into the pasta and sprinkled with bonito flakes for that definite Asian flavor
Dong Juan
This one's a light pasta dish, perfect for snacking. Being that it's oil-based, the saltiness of the bonito flakes was really the only thing giving this dish flavor. The shrimps were definitely fresh though.

Ice Cream Burger (P229)
small ice cream scoops sandwiched between oatmeal cookies with Belgian chocolate chips
Dong Juan
Do not order this if you are on a diet. It's terribly addictive! Haha!

So much for being healthy young adults - turns out, we were just saving all the calories for this dessert! I personally think it's overpriced, but if you're sharing with five people, I guess that's good enough.
Dong Juan
Dong Juan is located at 72 Mother Ignacia Avenue, Paligsahan, Quezon City.
