Valero Eat Street

Weekday food bazaar in Makati? Heck yes!

How often do food bazaars happen on a weekday? Almost never! So when I found out about Valero Eat Street, I finished work early and dragged my friend Joy for an afternoon of food, chikahan, and more food!

Since Joy and I just commuted, we arrived hella tired. Turns out, Makati jeeps don't go through their usual routes when it's not rush hour, so we had such a difficult time getting to Valero. Good thing we were greeted by the McCormick booth once we arrived. There, they gave out free samples of their cold Tarragon and Rosemary teas. Yum! I especially loved the tarragon!

We also stumbled upon Amano, a drink with lemon juice and activated charcoal, perfect for hangovers.

Crisp on 28th (check out my review here) was there, along with Bait's.

Aside from the bar chow, Bait's offered Burger Sliders that Joy and I just couldn't wait to munch on.

Next, we tried Pink Panda's grub.

Joy ordered the Electric Blue Mint since she was still thirsty. Turns out, the drink has alcohol! :P

Unfortunately, we didn't notice that they offered alcoholic beverages (yes, even with the bottles beside the menu) haha we were that tired! It was really strong. It's nothing we'd ever order again on purpose.

On the other hand, they did have chicken wings that were flavorful, but it had too much breading for our tastes.

Here's Takao MNL's specialty, kare-kare bagnet!

After our meal, we walked around some more and found these goodies:

Serbesa Manila's Pica Pica was one of the highlights of the day.

I especially loved the kamote fries dipped in Raita.

Bao MNL's buns brings all the boys (and girls) to the yard. Their Bao's On Crack was a party in my mouth!

My other favorite is Pepi Cubano's stall.

It was crunchy outside and warm and flavorful on the inside. They have an actual store in Legaspi Village, Makati, so I might just drop by there soon.

For dessert, how about some ice pops from, well, Ice Pops? I had the Mango Milkshake while Joy ordered the Strawberry Nutella. I thought it was great for the weather, but even the ice pops couldn't handle the heat. It melted pretty quickly, so we weren't really able to enjoy it.

And finally, Streetside Bakers offered various desserts, including Japanese cotton cheesecakes. I brought some home for my parents, and they loved it! I highly recommend the Chocolate Fudge and Oreo! :)

Thanks, Joy, for being my date that day! :)
