Sip and Gogh

Sip and Gogh
Hey, I created my own masterpiece with Sip and Gogh and it's currently hanging in my room!
Read more to know how to create your own! ;)

I've been having so much fun exploring my creative side the past months through workshops on brush and modern calligraphylettering, and watercolor that I decided to take it up a notch by doing something on canvas. I did it with the help of Sip and Gogh, the first-of-its-kind paint and sip studio in the Philippines!
Sip and Gogh
Whether you are an aspiring Van Gogh or have never painted before, Sip and Gogh will help you uncork your creative side. You can either choose a painting from their gallery or just paint anything you want!
Sip and Gogh
They have different events you can join - Family Fun Day (for all ages), Date2Create (for couples), Bring-Your-Own-Bottle (for ages 18+), Art for a Cause (fundraising events), and Open Sessions (for ages 16+). You can check their calendar for their schedule :)

We signed up on one of their Open Sessions so we could choose the painting we wanted to copy. Don't worry if you don't have any prior experience on painting because they have instructors who will guide you step-by-step in creating your own masterpiece that you can take home at the end of every session.

They'll even provide you with everything you need - from canvas, paints, brushes, palette, easel, and apron. All you have to bring is yourself, your creativity, and enthusiasm.

Here's a photo of my workspace (before the chaos)

We were given snacks and a complimentary drink - I choose wine while Tim ordered Stella Artois.

The instructor drew lines on my canvas to give me an idea on which part to paint what color.

Here's my work-in-progress:

I think this was the most serious/quiet date we've had. We were both so focused on painting that we didn't talk much during the session!

Me finally signing my work after two hours

Tadaaaa!

Our happy mess :)

And of course, the final output

Hey, I'd love to hear from you! Leave a comment below and I'll get back to you soonest!

  1. This is such a brilliant idea! I wish there was some kind of atelier like this where I live. I don't have talent to draw or paint but I doodle all the time and I think this would be a much fun activity to do. Your paintings are gorgeous by the way!

    1. RIGHT!?!??! Ang saya niya!!! As for the rates, they differ depending on whether you're joining the Bring-Your-Own-Wine session or not, but I know the normal price is about 1,000 PHP/person! Do you have kids? It is the ultimate bonding experience, no talent needed!! Haha!

  3. Awesome! Painting, food and wine. That's classy. I surely want to go there someday with the family. Good thing they have a branch here in Eastwood.
I would have asked for the rates but I've already read the comment section.
Does the session take 2 hrs or you can stay as long as you want to finish your work?

    1. It's pretty sulit, actually! I can imagine kids getting all excited about their masterpiece afterwards :) Hmm I think we were there for more than two hours, they didn't ask us to leave or anything, but that's probably because it was the last class/session for the day and no one else was coming in after us.

  5. This would be the best date night or girls night out ever! I love that you can go and be creative and have fun and not have any of the mess or preparation work! This would be so much fun for a person like me who does not indulge in things like this very often!

    1. Totally!! It's a different experience from the usual dinner and movies, so everyone's definitely going to enjoy! I hadn't even thought about that, the fact that we don't have to clean up after! That IS awesome! Do you have something like this where you live?:)

  6. Lovely atelier. How much fun is that quote "I'm ready to gogh". As being Dutch it's always so much fun to see that Van Gogh is internationally famous. Enjoy this atelier!

  11. I've heard about Sip and Gogh from a friend but I had no idea it was like this. I initially thought it was wine drinking while appreciating artworks. Haha! Glad to know you can paint while sipping wine, it makes it all the more fun :) Also I love your work!

  12. I am planning to go to this place next month, good thing i read your blog first and this solidify my decision to visit them. I really love the idea of painting while sipping wine. You both did a great job on your painting. I have tried painting on canvas before and it was really relaxing. This would definitely be an interesting date night idea.
