What the heck is that, you ask?
Well, you know how it takes a while to make ice cream because you have to mix the ingredients and then freeze it until it's ready, right? But now, thanks to liquid nitrogen, you can make ice cream almost instantly.
That's what Kool Kids in SM Megamall is all about. "Every scoop is made-to-order and churned before your eyes." They make their flavors everyday and only in small batches to ensure it's as fresh as possible when served. Cool, no?
We stumbled upon this place after hours of walking around Toy Con. It's located near the skating rink (which is on the same floor as the Megatrade Halls). I thought it was pretty pricey (P100+) per scoop, but it was pretty fun watching it smoke up!
So yeah, it was really more about the experience for me than the ice cream. Don't get me wrong, I got to try the Cookies and Cream (below) and Nutella, and they were delicious; but I prefer gelato over this any day.
With that said, I still think this is worth trying, especially if you bring kids along! I can just imagine their glee when they see the delicious treat being made right before their eyes.
