Finding Beauty in All Things

Dumaguete
There's so much beauty to see if we just look. Nowadays, people have become so busy in their daily routines that they forget there's a whole world out there waiting to be seen.

Like flowers that bloom in the nearby park, or streams that flow nonstop.. these are just some of the everyday things we don't notice. I'll admit, I'm guilty of this as well. Life has been so busy and problematic the past weeks months that I've forgotten to appreciate the beauty around me.

We should not let certain things limit us, like our jobs for example. We cannot let it take over our lives. That's why there's such a thing called work-life balance. I'm not saying we shouldn't work hard, but it shouldn't be all that we do. We should also set aside some time to develop a hobby, go on trips, and spend time with our loved ones.

These experiences make us who we are, and it also helps bring people together. Plus, there's so much to see out there! You don't have to fly off to Paris or Japan or wherever to find beauty (although that would be great) - the Philippines itself has so much to offer.

We Filipinos are pretty lucky that "vacation" doesn't have to mean a far-off destination. Take a two-hour drive out of the city and you'll find yourself on the beach, for example.

These photos were taken in The Forest Camp (see part one of my Dumaguete trip here).

It's been a while since my last trip to anywhere, but I'm pretty psyched because, in a few days, I'll be in Coron!

And in a few months, I'm hoping to find myself in two other local destinations, and one abroad.

I wish I could travel more often, but these will have to do for now. Gotta save up for bigger dreams, too! ;)

Until then! xo
