Red Velvet Cupcake Surprise!

Red Velvet Cupcake Surprise
Say hello to my new watermark and my latest creation - the Red Velvet Cupcake Surprise! :D

I decided to bake over the weekend because I realized it's been a while since the last time I did (five months, to be exact).

I brought out my Duncan Hines Signature Red Velvet Cake Mix and mixed in eggs, vegetable oil, and water like the instructions said. Oh diba, ang galing ko! But seriously, I'm not ashamed to admit that I use cake mix because it makes life a lot easier. Instead of taking the whole day, it took my sister and I only five hours to make 34 cupcakes! Hahaha!

I had fun baking with my sister, especially the part where our stainless steel pastry/icing bag wouldn't cooperate and kept falling apart while we were using it! We made so much mess in the kitchen, but we got to laugh and bond, so that makes it all worth it.

By the way, I forgot to mention, these aren't your ordinary red velvet cupcakes. They have a surprise creamy center that I forgot to take photos of! (Sorry :P)

Topped with cream cheese frosting and some sprinkles for that yummy goodness :D

Note to self: invest in a good pastry bag. :P

P.S. I used the same cake mix to make red velvet crinkles as well.
