H.Bar Body Lounge Spa

The other day, Mike and I had a much needed spa session at H.Bar Body Lounge Spa along Tomas Morato.
H.Bar Body Lounge

They've only been open two weeks, but Mike and I wasted no time. We both came from pretty tiring weekends - he hiked Mt. Maculot while I spent two days in Laguna - so we thought this was really the perfect time to get pampered.

Unlike some spas, a lot of thought was put into creating H. Bar. The owners/couple Jeff and Agnes wanted to make sure that clients feel comfortable and at ease during their visit, so she filled the spaces with shelves, flowers, and candles. I really like that they used earthy tones, it's so welcoming and cozy!

Though their concept is really simple, I love how they were able to make all of the elements work together.

Another thing they put a lot of thought into would be the soaps, scents and oils that they use. Everything in their spa treatments are organic and specially made for H. Bar. Since Ms. Agnes also owns Nail Cocktales (located right above H.Bar), she made sure to incorporate the same theme into her new venture - cocktail drinks!

With treatments like On the RocksShot Glass Massage, and Sparkling Cider Body Treatment, who wouldn't be excited?

After looking around and taking photos, we took our time picking which services to avail. Once we had decided, we were ushered to the other room, asked to change into slippers and led to the washing area.

First up is the Body Cocktails / Body Scrub. Mike got the Sake Bomb Body Experience while I went with their Mimosa Body Buff.

From the body wash to the orange-scented scrub to the sweet orange shea butter, everything was relaxing. My therapist, Ms. Richel, made sure not to scrub too hard and she took her time in all of the areas - not once did I feel like she was in a hurry to finish.

Mike also mentioned how his therapist, Ms. Lyn, was sensitive and adjusted to the his needs. Whenever Mike would jerk, Ms. Lyn knew she needed to lessen the pressure. When she found out that Mike has extremely ticklish soles, she began advising him whenever she would scrub or massage that part of his feet.

Next on the list is the Alchemy Massage, which is their signature massage. You can choose from five essential oils that you can only find at H.Bar!

I chose the Lavender Tea since this night's all about relaxing, but now that I think about it, maybe I should have gone with Pink Halt instead (to lessen cravings!). Mike didn't have any issues choosing because the Peppermintini was exactly what he needed for his sore body!

Finally, we tried H.Bar's facial treatments which makes use of Pevonia.

I went with the La Chic Martinique (for combination skin) while Mike tried their Tom Collins facial.

The treatment is an 8-step process that involves a skin cleanser, exfoliating cleanser, lotion, mask, cream, and moisturizer, so you'll certainly feel renewed after!

It's a pampering experience I would definitely go back for.

Thank you to Ms. Richel and Ms. Lyn for taking care of us, and to Ms. Agnes and Sir Jeff for inviting us over!
