100 Happy Days - Challenge Accepted!

Everyone has been posting about this thing called 100 Happy Days so I thought I'd check it out. Basically, what you have to do is just upload or submit a photo every day for 100 days of something that made you happy. "It can be anything from a meet-up with a friend to a very tasty cake in the nearby coffee place, from a feeling of being at home after a hard day to a favor you did to a stranger." Sounds easy, but I assure you, it's not. It's a huge commitment. I remember when I tried a 365-photo-a-day project in 2012 and only lasted a month (I think I even cheated by using old photos a couple of times. Haha). Plus, to be honest, I have been having a difficult time looking at the positive since I started a new job two weeks ago. Getting stuck in rush hour traffic and having to work with the laziest and most unsociable person ever definitely doesn't help. At this point, I really need to force myself to see the good in everyday - no matter how small it is. I want to be able to get past all the negative stuff that happens on a daily basis and just focus on the positive. I want to be happy again!

With that, here's my first photo for the #100HappyDays Challenge:
Day 1
Mike and I turned two yesterday. <3
Thinking about this milestone we've achieved definitely turned my day for the better :)

You should try it, too! But before you do, here's something to remember: "It is not a happiness competition or a showing off contest. If you try to please / make others jealous via your pictures - you lose without even starting. Same goes for cheating. The #100HappyDays Challenge is for you - not for anyone else."
Aside from becoming a happier person, you can also receive a little 100 page book with your 100 happy days at the finish line of the challenge! It's a win-win situation!

The fact that your photo can be anything should make this challenge easier - I mean I'm sure we can all find at least one thing to smile about everyday. Whatever makes you happy is important and therefore worth remembering.

So what are you waiting for? Join the #100HappyDays Challenge now!
I'm doing mine on instagram (@bettinabacani) if you want to follow my progress. Don't forget to leave a link to yours as well!
