Toys Cafe: More Than Just Toys

If you like collecting toys or know people who do, then visit Toys Cafe located at Ash Creek Center in Ortigas Avenue! They specialize in hard-to-find toys and collector's items, basically stuff that you won't find in regular stores. In case they don't have what you're looking for, don't fret! You can always request them to buy it for you from the US (with additional shipping charges, of course). What's great about Toys Cafe is that they're not limited to toys. Their place is like a mini-mall - there's really something there for everyone. Homer and his family shop there all the time! (Wait, what?

Haha. Sorry for that lame joke. When I saw this Simpsons photo displayed at Toys Cafe, I just knew I had to include it in my blog post somehow! It's actually a parody of the Beatles album Abbey Road (which you probably already knew). But seriously, Toys Cafe offers such a wide assortment of items, I don't even know where to start! Good thing I took a lot of photos (and I mean A LOT), so go ahead, keep reading and let me know what you think! :)

Celebrating at Shrimp Bucket

For my birthday, the family had dinner at Shrimp Bucket before catching a late night screening of the movie Frozen. We got there not expecting to have to wait for a table because (1) it was a Thursday, and (2) it was still early for dinner. To our surprise, the restaurant was packed! We didn't really have a choice but to wait since my dad was determined to eat there. I just took it as a good sign. A restaurant with a long waiting list on a weeknight just means their food is good, right? Plus, it was the only place in UP Town Center that was full at the time (I know this because we walked around while waiting for our table).

I'm pretty happy the wait was worth it, but I'm definitely making a reservation the next time we decide to eat there! Haha.

Bullet Journal

So, the past couple of days, I've been cleaning up and reorganizing my room to lessen the "physical disorder" around me. Thanks to The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, I've learned that making the world around you clean and orderly will make you happier. That's one factor, at least. So far, so good - but that's not enough. I don't want to just start the year right, I want to end it right, too.

With that, I've decided to try bullet journaling since I can be really forgetful and lazy sometimes. Hopefully this will encourage me to do more and be more productive this 2014. Wish me luck!

Sorry about that, I'll just try to make it up to you with this entry about a cool new spankin' place for gamers! :D
