Dream Day Friday - Week 4

I’m someone who enjoys reading books regularly. I can’t really say I have a huge shelf full of them, especially since e-books have become free to download over the world wide web. However, from time to time, I still buy them at Fully Booked, National Book Store or Power Books. There’s just something about holding, smelling and flipping pages that gets to me, unfortunately, my finances won’t allow me to grab just any book I want.

Sometimes, when I finish reading a book on my phone, I have the extreme urge to purchase a hard copy. I don’t know. There are just some books that will touch you in some way that you’ll want to have your own copy to treasure forever. For example:

1. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green - This made me cry and inspired me in so many ways :)

2. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini - I read this over a year ago and I still remember it clearly. This book is really sad. I know a lot of students in the US are also asked to read this for class. It’s a great read; the movie was amazing, too.

3. Looking for Alaska (also) by John Green - I read this about a month before reading The Kite Runner. It’s a book with a great story, shocking twist, and humor as well.

John Green wrote two out of the three books I’m sharing today. The book I’m currently reading, Will Grayson, Will Grayson is a novel by, again, John Green and David Levithan (who also wrote Every Day - the book I finished reading last week).

I guess we can probably say I’m officially a fan of these two authors? Haha:) Hoping to be able to read more than 15 books this year (that’s my record from 2011).

Anyone have suggestions of books I can add to my list? :)
